Why is my machine rejecting good containers?

If you notice your leak testing machine is rejecting good containers or all containers, the initial step is to check the Human-Machine Interface (HMI) for the specific rejection description. Using this information, you can refer to your machine manual to determine why the reject is occurring. Your manual will classify why the containers are being rejected and provide detailed descriptions as to why the failure is occurring.

The HMI also provides information about how to address the failure. If, after reviewing the manual, you still require further assistance or support, contact our leak testing specialists using the Service Hotline: 1 (800) 325-8717.

Your machine's HMI was designed to diagnose issues and provide real-time information so operators can have complete insight into what's happening on their production line. Learn how you can take full advantage of your HMI’s capabilities here.

Why is my leak testing machine not working?

If your leak testing machine is not working, the initial troubleshooting step should involve checking the machine's Human-Machine Interface (HMI) to identify any alarms. You can either directly access the alarm on the HMI or refer to your machine manual for insights into the alarm's meaning and instructions on how you can fix the issue. Following that, inspect the 'Status' message on the HMI, as it provides additional information to help you address any underlying issues responsible for the machine's failure or non-operation.

How do I access my preventive maintenance schedule and/or manual?

Every new ALPS Inspection leak testing machine shipment includes a manual with the preventive maintenance schedule inside. Some ALPS machines also provide the maintenance manual within the HMI for easy reference and convenience.

If you cannot locate your original manual, contact the ALPS Inspection team so we can email you a free copy of your manual or send a replacement physical copy.

While your machine manual will provide the exact maintenance breakdown to keep your specific machine running at optimal performance, you can also download and print out our “Operation Checks + Maintenance Timeline” for a general maintenance overview guideline.

Following a preventive maintenance timeline for your leak testing machine is the best way to proactively detect and address potential machine issues, minimize downtime, and maintain the highest level of quality control in your production line.

Can I schedule regular maintenance with ALPS Inspection?

Yes, you can! Contact our service team at 1 (800) 325-8717 to schedule your required maintenance. Your maintenance visit will also include an annual service audit where an ALPS service team expert will perform a technical review of the overall health of your leak tester. During an audit, we will assess the equipment’s performance, look for wear, and optimize the inspection equipment’s settings for your production runs.

We also offer ALPS Peak Service Training® as your comprehensive certification course. The training is designed to equip your maintenance and operations staff with the knowledge they need to become the on-site experts of their ALPS Inspection machine. To learn more, click here.

How do I get a replacement part? Where can I find my serial number?

If you find yourself in need of a replacement part, simply contact the ALPS Inspection team. We maintain a spare parts inventory and can get you the part you need as quickly as possible.

When you reach out to our team, be sure to have the serial number of your machine, which can be found inside the main control panel. It’s also helpful to provide us with a photo or detailed description of what you want to replace. We can then determine the replacement part required or if another similar part is available to support your machine.
