ALPS™ CertiCheck Multi-Functional Leak Tester

ALPS™ CertiCheck Multi-Functional Leak Tester

Non-destructive leak testing and inspection for multiple container types

For fast, reliable, repeatable results in the lab or beside the line

Reduce cost and improve the speed and accuracy of your non-destructive leak-detection procedures. The powerful and compact CertiCheck tester can be used in combination with interchangeable test chambers or heads for various container types including sachets, pouches, bags, bottles, vials, trays, devices and modified atmospheric packaging.

The all-in-one design provides the flexibility to easily switch between test methods depending on the product and test requirements. Once in place the chamber is automatically identified along with the appropriate test method. Test for defect types such as cracks, channels, gross holes, and pinholes as small as 5 µm.

Flexible Membrane

  • A non-destructive leak detection device designed for flexible or semi-flexible packages
  • Using hybrid membrane technology, the flexible head utilizes the ASTM F2338-09(2013) test method to perform the leak test
  • Detects defect types which include channel leaks, weak seals, and all sizes of pin holes*
  • Tool-less design
  • Can test packages that contain tablets/capsules/devices/powders
  • Ideal for testing pouches, sachets and bags
  • Test area 250 mm x 150 mm **

*pack dependent
** Custom sizes available on request

Vacuum Decay

  • Non-destructive, deterministic, quantitative test method
  • Utilizes vacuum decay to identify leaks and channel leaks as low as 5 µm
  • Ideal for testing bottles, BFS, medical devices, prefilled syringes, pouches, trays and other containers
  • Rapid test time
  • Utilizes the ASTM F2338-09(2013) test method to perform leak test
  • Container closure integrity (CCIT) for compliance with FDA requirements

Pressure Decay

  • Non-destructive, deterministic, quantitative test method
  • Ideal for testing any liquid filled bottles and other containers
  • Rapid test time as low as 10 seconds

Other Testing Methods Available Include:

Ramp-to-Event: Destructive, deterministic, quantitative test method using pressure/vacuum to ramp to event. Used for component testing to detect weak welds/seals etc.

Ramp to Proof Pressure: Non-destructive, deterministic, quantitative test method using pressure/vacuum to ramp to a target pressure.

Occlusion: Non-destructive, deterministic, quantitative test method using pressure drop/time. Typically used to test parts that must remain open to function correctly.
