February 1, 2006 - ALPS in Booth #8508 at NPE 2006NPE2006

ALPS has been assigned Booth #8508 in the North Building, Level 1 for NPE, which will take place June 19-23, 2006.  Please contact us if you are interested in setting up a meeting.  In addition to the LeakMonitor, SS-100 and RS-100 machines, ALPS will be displaying the prototype Next Generation Rotary machine.

January 1, 2006 - Counter/Diverter OptionCounter Diverter

ALPS delivers the first Counter/Diverter option integrated with the Model SS-100 indexing leak tester.  The option controls counting of tested bottles into shipping boxes, automatically diverting the flow of bottles to a second box when the pre-set count is achieved.

November 30, 2005 - ALPS LeakMonitor for Blow MoldersLeakMonitor

ALPS introduces the  during the PET Strategies conference in Atlanta.  This is a new system to monitor high-speed PET bottle blow molders.  Utilizing an ultrasonic method, the patented device detects gross leakage in containers and acts as a predictive maintenance tool to minimize air consumption caused by leaks internal to the blow molder.

The  also offers an effective tool to enable increased usage of post-consumer resin (PCR), especially in Carbonated Soft Drink (CSD) containers, by monitoring for holes in the feet or other defects caused by contamination.

October 1, 2005 - Accu-Height Options for SS and RS ModelsAccu Height Cylinder

An accurate height inspection option is now available for the SS-100 and RS-100 families of machines.  A position sensing probe cylinder is used to obtain height readings and display results with a 0.001” resolution.

July 1, 2005 - New Options for SS and RS ModelsCN Sensing Probe

A new design Choked Neck Sensing Probe is now available for the SS-100 and RS-100 families of machines.  An internal sensor is used to detect neck blockages (typical defects from the intermittent extrusion process), abort the leak test and store results using an independent counter.

Reject Verification Option

Reject Verification is available, which uses a photo-eye to validate rejection of each defective bottle.

Test Leak Orifice Kit

A Test Leak Orifice Kit, mounted to the machine, is also available.

March 22, 2005 - DB-100 Downed Bottle EjectorDB-100

An innovative device to detect and eject fallen bottles, using ultrasonic technology, has been introduced to the market.  The system is designed for ease of set-up and operation, including a Self Teach function.  Please contact ALPS for additional information or a video CD.

March 1, 2005 - ALPS Joins NAPCORNapcor

ALPS joins NAPCOR, the National Association for PET Container Resources, as a supplier member.  Founded in 1987, NAPCOR is the trade association for the PET plastic industry in the United States and Canada.  The Associations’ mission is to facilitate PET plastic recycling and to promote and defend the usage of PET packaging.

January 1, 2005 - Longer-Life Probe Cylinders and Valves for Rotary SystemsNew Probe Cylinder Assy

As a result of successful in-house and field tests during 2004, a new design PHD probe cylinder and Mac valve assembly is now standard for all ALPS Model 7385 rotary inspection systems.

The PHD cylinder offers a higher quality, significantly longer life component that can be conveniently rebuilt; compared to the prior style ‘throw away’ cylinder type.

‘Plug in’ retrofit packages can be purchased to replace assemblies on current machines—please consult ALPS for more specific information and pricing.

December 23, 2004 - New Model SS-100L Single-Station Indexing Leak TesterModel SS-100L

The Model SS-100L is introduced.  This is a version of the SS-100 designed for larger bottle sizes, suitable for most intermittent extrusion and single-step PET blow molding lines.

July 1, 2004 - New Model RS-100S Reciprocating Head Leak TesterModel RS-100S

The new Model RS-100S is introduced to the market.  This is a size-reduced version of the RS-100 that uses a separate control stand and conveyor-mounted probe and slide assembly.  This configuration results in a more compact and flexible unit that can fit into tight spaces and line configurations.

January 1, 2004 - Full Market Launch of Model RS-100 Reciprocating Head Leak TesterRS Front

Full market launch of the Model RS-100 is announced after extended beta-site testing, resulting in orders, at two customer locations.  This is the innovative new leak tester (Patent Pending) that utilizes a reciprocating head with no tooling requirement.

As part of the new generation STM2-based leak testers, the system offers a unique Guided Set-up through the touch screen interface; and the quickest changeovers in the market.

The very first unit was on display as the “mystery machine” at NPE 2003.
