Production Monitoring Tool

The ALPS LeakMonitor is a valuable production monitoring tool designed for integration within two-step PET container blow molders (example Sidel, Krones, SIG). 

The system is set up to track mold positions and use the blow molder’s internal reject mechanism.

The system monitors the ultrasonic signature of individual blow molder cavities for the following purposes:

• Prevent production of bottles with out-of-specification dimensions or volume caused by air leakage during blow molding

• Minimize air consumption by immediately identifying problem cavities

• Predictive Maintenance for specific internal o-rings and seals

• Eject bottles with gross leaks, holes or finish defects

• Enable usage of PCR (Post Consumer Resin) in CSD (Carbonated Soft Drink) by monitoring for holes in the feet

• Control panel with color interface to mount outside blow molder

• Trend, Data, Setup, Enable/Disable and Simulation screens

• ETHERNET connection and remote access capability

The system has been proven in over 60 installations to-date in blow molders producing up to 60,000 BPH.
