History
Air Logic
Power Systems, LLC (ALPS) was originally founded in 1974 and
produced its first leak testing machine in 1978. The first high-speed
rotary leak tester was introduced in 1985, leading to an extended period
of growth and a move to the current manufacturing facility in Milwaukee,
Wisconsin.
Beginning in the
early 1990’s, ALPS focused on the plastic container inspection
market and began production of the ALPS Smart Test Module (STM)
electronic test circuit. Since that time, the STM has been well proven
with delivery of over 7,500 units to-date installed in various
types of machines.
ALPS is now
recognized as a market leader with an installed base of more than
1,400 machines including rotary, linear and integrated models. ALPS
is a supplier to ten of the top ten North American plastic bottle blow
molders and the current population of machines is assuring the integrity
of more than 40 billion containers per year.
In the year
2000, ALPS became part of the TASI Group of companies and began a
period of continued growth and new product development. Introductions
during this period have included:
-
SS-100 indexing and
RS-100 reciprocating linear leak testers, featuring ultra fast
leak tests and guided setup principals
-
Ongoing Rotary Leak Tester
enhancements and adaptations to meet the increasing speed and
inspection needs of the PET and polyolefin container markets
-
The new LeakMonitor for
Blow Molders to detect leakage inside high-speed PET bottle molding
machines
ALPS is
dedicated to providing the highest quality of equipment and service to
assist our customers in efficient manufacture of the highest quality
containers.
